Dr. Robbie Case - Research

Following his brief encounter with teaching in Israel, Robbie was interested in how children, particularly disadvantaged ones, learned. His interest led him to the University of Toronto, where he received his Master's and PhD from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE).

Following his PhD, Dr. Case pursued an associate professorship at Berkeley University, but returned to OISE, where he wrote his first book, Intellectual Development: Birth to Adulthood, published in 1985. This book was based very heavily on observations of his own children, as well as his young students. Dr. Case was careful to give credit to the children he observed.
